Out of the Box...
When looking in discount stores, think out of the box. I have a staging job coming up that is a 50's Mid Century ranch style home. I found two chair cushions that had the perfect pattern and feel for the house... however, I was looking for two accent pillows with the same feel. The solution for my problem was to cut off the ties... Presto.. accent pillows....

Style on a Tight Budget
Met with an agent and homeowner yesterday for an upcoming staging job. I was given a budget of $200.00 to buy three major items for the home: kitchen nook light, dining room light, kitchen faucet and bathroom vanity light.... Acomplished for a little over budget at $210. Can't wait to see how it is all going to look once the staging is accomplished....

Holiday Mantle idea using fresh greens
This is a Holiday mantle idea the uses local freshgreens, warm candle glow and a little Mercury Glass for sparkle. It was quite simple to achieve and is long-lasting for the holiday season. This particular mantle consists of: an 8 foot Magnolia garland, Eucalyptus, Poinsetias, Nandina berries and little sprigs of Cryptomeria.

Watch this chair change...

This chair is old and tired, but the frame is of high quliaty. I found this Kravet fabric which is part of the Barclay Butera collection. The pattern is called Kinglsey 615. My clients have a fun spirit about themselves and she loved the fabric from the begining. This is not a fabric for everyone, but if you want what you see in the Decorator magazines, this is the ticket. Don't be afraid to have what you love. Surround yourself in beauty.
