The Power of Paint

Remember when selecting paint colors for your home. Do not select colors you love. Keep the colors neutral. Light and bright colors will make a dark room feel larger. If your home has crown mouldings show them off. They are a great feature. If you select a light color, consider painting the ceiling the same color as the walls or a shade lighter to showcase the moluldings. By keeping your home neutral, buyers can see that their furnishings will fit with the existing colors, and it will be one less thing they will have to do when they move in.

PAINT IT... it's worth the effort

Paint is the most cost effective update you can do when preparing your home for sale. Wheather you paint inside or out, you will get around a 300 % return on your investment. Paint is one of the top upgrades buyers look for. With competition for buyers at a high level, you need to do everything you can to attract the buyers and to not give them a reason NOT to buy our home. For many, a home is the largest investiment you will make in your lifetime. If that is the case for you, then you can't afford to not to spend some money to update your home, and to know where you will get the BIGGEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK.

Home Staging Tips from a Pro.

Homeowners: In case you have not caught on, the days of just hanging a lockbox on your door to see your house are over. There are a glut of homes on the market today, and if you need to sell, you need to do everything in your power to help that happen. The easiest and most cost effective thing you can do is clean out your house. Pack, donate or throw out any itemsl you have not used or worn in the past 6 months. Buyers are paying for square footage, not the stuff in your house. The second major thing to do is separate yourself emotionally from your house. The minute you list your property, it is no longer your house. Once these two items have been tackled, call in a professional stager to arrange what is left. To make this happen in the most efficient way, leave your house. Listen to what feedback you get (both positive and negative) about your house. The stager has no vested interest in your house, just the end result of selling your house. By using a professional stager, you will get great end results. Remember as with anything in life, you get what you pay for. Get multiple bids, ask to see a website or previous completed jobs and ask for referrals.
